Did this video help you?

Jim Marshall: That was a GREAT idea!!!

Callie Johnson: I have already done this! Thanks to “NatureHead!”

PACERGIRL68: Thanks for this video. I will be using a composting toilet and was wondering how I can covert black tank. Can you leave the connection on or do you have to put it on each time you dump the water. Thank you.

BLUE RIVER: it seems more logical to get rid of the gross black tank altogether if you are no longer having a regular toilet. Why not add another grey water tank in its place, if you want or need to hold more water before dumping?

John Whitford: You would think we could at least flush our toilet somehow with grey water, ideas?

Brian Fyfe: you can accomplish almost the same outcome by just putting the cap on the pipe, right? Your method with the extra knife valve will keep it cleaner for sure when you go to dump because you'll have to take that cap off eventually and you'll get some spillage... good idea.

Chuck blake: Are you only using it for grey waster purposes I'm lost don't make sense

Bred Saint: You remind me of my cousin. His name is also Jason 😱

JonTanOsb: That is so excellent! I'm planning on putting in a composting toilet in an RV and wondered if I could use the otherwise useless black water tank for grey. Thanks.
Jon

mydejavooo: What if you have an older RV with NO grey holding tank?

SuperMike: Jason, can I see a mains cable with the outer insulation pulled out of the plug. Naughty boy, if you have not already done so, please fix it toot sweet. :-))

Dark Energy Studios: I really get so much from all of the videos I've watched so far Jason, but I must admit that I watched this one 3 times and still came away thinking; "How does that simple Gate Valve combine the two tanks?" I asked my dealer about the concept and the service manager indicated that it was very complex and expensive to combine the tanks. We are proud new owners of a Rockwood 5th Wheel (one week) and I wonder if it might be that much different from your Class A.

ZEZERBING: I was waiting for him to smack his head on the over hang.

elizabeth barrett: Interesting. I bought a 1976 Airstream Argosy 28.  I cant decide if I should just remove the black tank. I wonder if this is an option on vintage trailers.  I will discuss this with P&S Trailer in Ohio where "Twinkee" is sitting awaiting it's remodel  :)

Tom Zaytsev: The combined hookup is a recipe for health problems, why the RV industry continues to keep waste and potable water in close proximity is baffling. In my class C I went step further and installed a black water, water supply tank which supplies the toilet only, installed over board discharge lines at the tops of the gray and black water tanks to prevent any possible flooding. Air gap P - traps to prevent bacteria creep into the sinks. The only commonly shared items is the sewer line and discharge valve, which after I dump my tanks a quart of bleach gets poured down the sink and a little water as a after flush.

Humble Loft: composting, no way

Kristians klugis: go to the Lasqueti Island it is cool

RV with Tito DIY: Great solution to your problem. I had to rewind and watch it again to understand what you were doing. Then I got it. Crazy easy is right. Your tank capacities work well for this solution. If I ever have a need for this I'll know what to do. For now, my wife says "uuh no" on the composting toilet. Thanks!

BRRCC1: This is a stupid idea. Yes it will work. But there is too much room for error. Without a backflow preventing device. Anyone that tries this that doesn't completely understand will cause a major problem and potentially have a terrible odor in future camping adventures. I give this move a thumbs down. But A for effort

Will Toca: Got a lot of tips from you guys. I'm taking notes. Shout out to the Rv Geeks too.
