Scott D: I finally built one of these.. it took me about a day to do.. that is , the time to take measurements for the hoses diameters and length, going out and finding the exact fittings/adapters, planning out all the parts, cutting, gluing, etc etc.. About 5 hours in total. It worked well, but there were a few things about it that wasn't perfect and I had spent way more time than I thought it would take. In the end I ordered the Dust Deputy and it came with everything and was perfect. Saved me time, and it was only $99 for the deluxe version. For what it does, $99 is a pretty nominal cost and I didn't build one that was better.
Jane Bradbury: I think this is a great way to try making some cute bracelets, and they are cheap and biodegradable in the long run. My niece used to make lots of embroidery floss ones in college for her festival friends and they were gorgeous and lasted forever! There are more colors available in the floss too. Of course, if you want to spend more money by ordering waxed string and make that style, that's fine too, but I think this tutorial is a great option!
